The Founding Father
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangladesh, led people like my dad to revolution, election, war and eventually, #freedom. Commonly referred to as Bangabandhu/Friend of Bengal, he served as the first President of Bangladesh and later Prime Minister of Bangladesh from March 1971 until his assassination on 15 August 1975, 43 years ago.
With current hopelessness and corruption in Bangladesh, I often find myself asking “Would Bangabandhu approve?”
